The Applied Geology Department at the College of Science organized its inaugural scientific seminar titled "The Importance of Applied Geology in Providing Scientific and Consultative Services to Babil Governorate." The event welcomed officials and experts. Dr. Inas Mohammad Al-Rubaie, the Dean of the College, emphasized collaboration for utilizing professorial expertise effectively. Dr. Jafar Hussein Ali, the department head, highlighted their mission to educate competent professionals to serve Iraq, including future plans for doctoral studies. The seminar featured lectures on geology's role in addressing geological and engineering challenges in various projects, limestone suitability for engineering purposes in the Najaf Sea depression, and a study on groundwater and its quality. Appreciation certificates were presented to speakers and participants.
