The Faculty of Science at the University of Babylon is a pioneering institution in scientific research and education. Established in 1989, it is one of the oldest colleges and comprises four departments: Chemistry, Life Sciences, Physics, and Applied Geology. The college has modern and advanced laboratories for practical training and competent professors with a rich history in their field of work. The college has recorded approximately 100 patents and has achieved advanced ranks among the university's faculty and its counterparts in other Iraqi universities. The faculty has expanded its infrastructure through the construction and rehabilitation of classrooms, laboratories, gardens, corridors, and all college facilities. The faculty has a scientific network for developing scientific research and opening new scientific specializations. The faculty is also serious about urban and scientific expansion, as it will witness the opening of a branch of medical physics.
