The recent Global Conference on Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) Safety and Security, organized by University of Babylon in Baghdad, was a resounding success. The conference, held under the auspices of the National Security Advisory, saw the participation of 26 Arab and foreign countries, as well as relevant security, intelligence, chemical, veterinary, and legal entities .During the conference, several faculty members from the Department of Physics and the Department of Life Sciences were honored for their active and fruitful contributions to its success. The distinguished individuals included Dr. Abdul Aziz Obaid Musa, Dr. Mohamed Hadi Shenin, Dr. Iyad Mohammed Jabr, and Dr. Yahya Fahim Obaid .Babylon University's College of Sciences played a significant role in the event, with a scientific poster presentation organized by Dr. Abdul Aziz Obaid and Dr. Mohsen Kazem Matalb. Additionally, the college's professors, staff, and proactive students actively participated in the conference's virtual sessions.The three-day conference aimed to enhance national, regional, and international coordination in developing CBRN response capabilities, as well as improving communication and coordination mechanisms between national formations in preparation for potential threats and risks.
